The CRB Designation and CRB Courses

The CRB designation is the premier credential for brokers, owners, and managers.  A broker's license is not required to earn the designation.  To learn more about the CRB designation and the requirements, click here.

There are ten (10) CRB courses covering the core competencies of owning or managing a real estate brokerage. 

  • Each course is 7 hours of instruction (1-day classroom course and can be broken up into two 3-1/2 hour sessions for virtual delivery).
  • A typical 1-day offering would be 8-1/2 hours (7 hours of instruction; 1 hour lunch; two 15 minute breaks -- ex.  8:30 am - 5:00 pm)
  • The CRB designation is owned and conferred by the Real Estate Business Institute (REBI) and was founded in 1968.
  • The course royalty is $50 USD per student / per course.
